Denver C. Rushing, OD

An Oklahoma native, Dr. Denver Rushing earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, in 2002.  He spent a few years after that in sunny south Florida completing a doctorate program at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Davie, Florida.  Missing his Oklahoma roots he quickly moved back closer to home and began his career in optometry.  Dr. Rushing has been practicing optometry in southern Oklahoma since 2007 with the sole intent to provide quality eye care to all he encounters.

Alongside providing primary care services, Dr. Rushing specializes in scleral contact lens fitting and photorefractive laser surgery including PRK and PTK.  He also routinely performs anterior segment laser procedures including YAG capsulotomy and SLT glaucoma laser procedures.  Dr. Rushing truly enjoys being able to provide these services for patients in the southern Oklahoma area.

Dr. Rushing has served on several committees and boards including the steering committee for the Ardmore Young Professionals Organization (AYP), the executive committee for the board of directors of the United Way of South Central Oklahoma, and the board of directors for the Healdton Chamber of Commerce. He is a past member of the Ardmore Lions Club and a current member of the Healdton Lions Club. Dr. Rushing was a member of the 2009 graduating class of the Greater Ardmore Leadership Program and currently serves on the board of directors of Adam’s Cape medical fund.

Dr. Rushing resides in Ardmore, Oklahoma, with his wife and daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, off-road UTV getaways, and working with his father on their family farm.
